Financial giving is an important part of Christian discipleship for everyone who has made the life changing commitment to follow Jesus here in St Thomas Becket.

People give through standing orders, through our envelope scheme or on the open collection plates on Sunday. Some people give according to the Biblical principle of tithing – giving 10% of their income back to God – others give as generously as possible.

In welcoming people to our Church Family, we would ask all people prayerfully to consider their support for our fellowship. The key thing is always that each person gives what they have decided in their heart to give, and not out of compulsion.

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver”. 2 Corinthians 9:7

If you are a UK tax payer, St Thomas Becket Church is able to reclaim a further 25% of your gift to our Church. To enable us to do this you will need to complete a Gift Aid Declaration – please click on the link or pick up a form from church.

We do appreciate the sacrifice people make in giving to and supporting the church. The PCC meet regularly to review giving and all financial matters and to ensure that we operate responsibly and to agreed annual budgets.

All monies are used to continue with the upkeep and operations of the church, to pay for staff, to support missionary work and to serve our community.
